Do you want to buy a quality, cheap pool table? StrayShop only offers quality pool tables from the brands: BuckShot, Buffalo and Garlando. When buying a pool table, you can pay attention to several components. We will highlight a number of topics for you.

Pool table dimensions

Pool tables come in different sizes. Professional players often play on a table of 8FT or 9FT. In most pool bars you will find tables of these sizes. Are you a hobby player and do you just like to set up a pool table at home, for example? Then you can also choose to buy a smaller pool table, such as a 7FT one. It is often thought that playing on a larger table is easier, because there is more space on the table. However, this is incorrect. Playing pool is easier on a smaller table, because you can better estimate the angles. At StrayShop we offer pool tables from 4FT to 12FT.

Quality

The quality of a pool table is determined by the type of playing field. We distinguish between two different types: MDF and slate. An MDF table is of somewhat lower quality, which also makes the price lower. Slate is the expensive variant, but also has a longer lifespan. The rule of thumb for pool tables is as follows: the heavier the table, the higher the quality. However, an MDF pool table is also a good choice for a hobby player. At StrayShop, we have developed our BuckShot pool tables in such a way that they also last a long time.

8-ball pool, 9-ball pool or 10-ball pool

There are different types of pool. The most well-known is the 8-ball pool variant. In 8-ball pool you have 7 'whole' balls and 7 'half' balls. The black ball is ball number 8, hence 8-ball. In addition, you also have the white ball with which you play. The goal is to be the first to get your own billiard balls (whole or half) into the pockets. You end up with the black ball. Slightly less well-known variants are 9-ball pool and 10-ball pool. Although the name suggests otherwise, fewer pool balls are played here. At StrayShop, you will receive the ball set that goes with 8-ball pool as standard when you purchase it.

Strayshop also has cover plates to transform your pool table into a table tennis table! Place the plate on your pool table and you can immediately use it as a ping pong table. Delivery or pick-up?

When you buy a pool table at StrayShop, it will be delivered free of charge in the Netherlands. Delivery in Belgium is also possible, for a small fee of €10. Would you like to admire the pool table before purchasing it? Then you can of course always visit our showroom. You can of course also take the pool table with you, so that you have it in your home immediately.
